Timnath Reservoir
The Town's 600-acre reservoir east of town with a six-mile shoreline and mountain views: fishing, swimming, paddling and motorized boating by permit. Residents' shore permits are free.
Timnath’s own lake, about 580 to 600 acres with a six-mile perimeter and the Rockies on the western horizon, run by the Town for fishing (Colorado licence required), swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding, motorized boating on Thursday to Sunday from April to October, and hiking, biking and picnicking on the shore. Everyone needs a permit displayed on the car: annual shore permits are free for residents and $65 for others, non-motorized boats $20 to $35 a year, motorized $300 a year or $75 a day. Open 7 to 7 outside summer, 6 to 8:30 from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Leashed dogs; no alcohol, camping or fires.
